Podcast

Ok today we worked with this guy named Steven Vroom on pod-casting, and it was really fun and exciting recording. So today we used this program called Audacity, and we recorded 3 tracks, about all us. I recorded somethings such as about me, my favorite stuff, and my goals. It was really cool deleting all the "umm" and the "uhh" now i know what they use when they're recording music videos.
It was really great, it is not i've never done before. Everything I do here in 911 Media Arts is new to me. I learn something new everyday. The podcasting we did, we made into a MP3...and i can't wait to get my own C.D.

Well now we are officially done with our boardgames. It looks amazing with the finish touches. Now it looks better than ever.
Now that whey're done with the games. I can't wait until we start playing them. I have to admit we came a long way with the games...Check some of this pictures...of us starting to build up our game on paper:

NGL Logo

Hey again,

This is a Logo I've been working on for about a week. We made this logo in Illustrators ...and it turned out pretty nice. You're probably wondering what these logos are for...well whey're suppose to print them out on a T-shirt...and it stand for :

N: Next
G:Generation
L:Lab

I can't wait to see how the T-shirts turn out. Not only I but the other guys made one too, and there's look pretty awesome, too. I didn't know anything about Illustrator until Elizabeth introduced it too us, and its pretty easy to use. Now we use it for almost all the projects we work on. I have a couple of samples for the logo, but i liked this one the best.

Pics of Us making our games-> featuring: Jason

On these photos we were getting ready to make up our games....As u can see that blue one is what we started with but as u saw already that was our finaly copy....and its Amaaazinggg!!
Making the game got us to thinking....what can we mak, that isn't too much and not to less? Then Autumn said how about candy...."Everyone loves candy" And so we made a game about candy. We changed the rules of the game a hundred times either because it didn't make sense or you couldn't play with it. Now that the game is done it looks sooo much better! :-)

MY GAME BOARD DESIGN

After

Before

As i was talking about earlier i told you that we were designing our own games, and here it is. A game designed no other than myself and Autumn. When i looked at the before and after pic, i say WOW!! I made alot of changes and i'm proud of it too. I mean come on look at the game, doesn't it look so deserting and special. It took alot of steps. The first step was the goal of the overview, rules, structure....etc. When Autumn and I was designing the game, we actually didn't want to do for one because we were to lazy and for two we didn't think it would turn out good, but i'm proud that i took the time to listen to Tina, and all that helped me. To make this game we used Illustrator and a little bit of photo shop. As you can see there is the before and after....and there's another before pic, but thats how it looked when starting to use illustrator. The pics we got from google.com and ask.com. Not only did we design this game but we also designed the cards that go along with it. I can't wait until this game is good and ready to play. This is so amazing I've never made my own game, but take a look at that, do you believe its my first time? Honestly it is. We love our game....do you know the name of it? No? You don't? Well its kinda obvious don't you think? There's candy everywhere. We decided to call it "Candy Adventure" How do you like our title? Do you like it? I love it! We love it! IT's Terrific! Amazing! Something out of this world! A game board you've never seen or played before! Its Hot!!!!

SYEP 2 Week Experience

Hello Everyone and Everybody, Today I will talk about my experience here at 911 media for the past couple of weeks. The first week was amazing it was basically all fun and learning. We made our own games and learned a couple of new ones from a guy name Jason. When we made our games, we were going to make it into the real deal so we started making them and designing them, which turned out great. I loved being here for the past 2 weeks and halve. I've learned so much in such little time. In this 3rd week that we are in, we are still working on the games we designed and it should be finally ready but the end of this week. I can't wait to see how its going to turn out. The cool part about making the games were that we got to go in partners and work together. It was I Fatuma Asker and Autumn Donaldson who made Candy Adventure. Bakari Hayes and Mohammed Mohammed who made Hobo Monopoly, and last but not least Abdi Hassan and Chris Chu who made Assassin. All of us made really cool games and we are all proud of it. I can't to see what they got in store for us.
